Their whole PC philosophy has gone that far that it is now biased more to the guest than the host. I have been in the rental business for the last 15 years and yes you are correct about AirBnB and not holding up to Host claims for damages and missing items from guests. Whether or not having that wider audience is important to you is not something I can comment on. The flipside is that they have a much larger user base, so you will reach more people. I definitely agree that the larger companies have gotten more expensive for both hosts and guests. We would like to have our home with a wide search engine and have an ethical filter on guests so that we as hosts would not be in harms way, but who is that company? This means that these negative reviews will end up far outweighing the positive, and this is especially the case as the company gets bigger and bigger.
